WHAT IS THE SOCIETY OF PRAYER?
The Society of Prayer was made to be a safe haven to those Christians who simply wanted to fully dedicate their lives to God, make private vows to God, and live a life of prayer and mercy. We are men and women of faith. We are a people of prayer. We are not proponents of a doctrinal position, although we subscribe to the Apostles' Creed. We are individual hermitages where prayers are safely lifted to God. Some of us make private vows of celibacy, and others do not. We are those that seek simplicity in life. We are those that obey, in that, we listen to God, and follow what God has placed on our hearts. We seek the will of God for our lives. Some of us are hermits, while others are secular monastics. We pray and offer mercy to the world. We are the Associates and The Vowed Members of The Society of Prayer. Occasionally someone in Holy Orders asks to join us because we just pray.
Most of our Brothers and Sisters are simple men and women
in different situations desiring a deeper life of prayer. Whatever
our situation we are all totally equal as Brothers and Sisters.
As we are not a church we do not offer Ordination
to any person .
